Nile crocodile

About This Project

This crocodile is found near water sources in Africa, south of the Sahara and in Madagascar. It can grow to as much as 6 meters in length, making it one of the largest members of the crocodile family, and it is a very effective predator – it can even attack a zebra!

Hunted for its skin for many years, it is now suffering from the destruction of its habitat and conflicts with humans, who fear it. However, it is not considered under threat.
