De Brazza’s monkey

About This Project

An elegant and shy monkey

This elegant primate has a striking appearance with an orange crescent on its forehead and a white beard. An omnivore, it mainly eats fruit, but also enjoys leaves and fungi, and even a few small insects and worms! It lives in small groups and is skilled at keeping hidden to avoid detection by predators: its fur provides camouflage among the vegetation and it communicates more through facial expression and gesture than vocally. At the slightest hint of danger, it melts into the landscape…

So you’ll definitely have to look very carefully to spot our three de Brazza monkeys in their enclosure!
